AI Video Production Pipeline
Rebuilding a production studio's workflow around AI — without losing cinematic craft.
Overview
In 2024, Moon Gleam AI Studio rebuilt its production approach around AI. This project is that rebuild: a repeatable pipeline that takes a brief from concept through script, visual development, AI generation, edit and finish — producing commercials, brand films and promotional content.
Challenge
AI video tools are powerful but inconsistent: shots drift in style, characters change between frames, and raw generations rarely meet broadcast-grade expectations. The challenge was consistency and quality at the standard set by traditional production.
Approach
We treated AI generation as one department inside a conventional pipeline — not a replacement for it. Story development, scriptwriting and storyboarding remain traditional disciplines; generation is directed shot-by-shot against those boards; and edit, grade, sound design and quality control finish the work to the studio's standard. Hybrid delivery — mixing AI output with traditional methods where each is stronger — is the default.
My contribution
Creative direction, pipeline design and hands-on production across scripting, prompt direction, editing and finishing — alongside the studio's collaborators, whose work is part of every delivered film.

Outcome & next steps
The pipeline is in active use for the studio's commercial work and continues to evolve as models improve. Next: deeper character-consistency tooling and tighter sound-design integration.
